We are seeking governance approval for the independent registration of Delta Coins (EMBRE) in the Hydration network. This token is designed to empower the community of Delta Tigre, Argentina, by providing a stable, labor-backed currency that promotes financial inclusion and economic resilience.
Delta Coins redefine value by pegging 1 EMBRE to one hour of labor—a transparent and relatable standard for local exchange. Developed on Polkadot and fully integrated with Nova Wallets, the token has already gained grassroots traction among islanders eager to trade fairly and locally without relying on traditional money or volatile assets.
However, many community members are unbanked and face barriers to saving or accessing the formal financial system. Delta Coins are not just a medium of exchange—they’re also a tool for storing value, allowing people to save money in a currency that reflects their labor, rather than in inflation-prone fiat. This is especially valuable in a region affected by economic instability and limited access to banking.
To increase adoption and usability, we are proposing to register EMBRE independently in Hydration, allowing direct use from Nova Wallets without needing to rely on other tokens. This move would:
Beyond the technology, the project includes a commitment to training, mentoring, and education—empowering residents with the digital skills to engage with blockchain tools confidently and safely. We envision Delta Coins as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth, innovation, and community resilience.
Our roadmap includes expanding local use cases, integrating with markets and businesses, and co-creating governance practices with community input. We’re committed to operating transparently and aligning the project’s evolution with the needs of its users.
We respectfully invite Kos.holders and members of the Hydration community to discuss and evaluate this proposal ahead of the governance vote. Your participation is essential to ensuring the token evolves in a way that benefits both the local community and the broader Hydration ecosystem.
